How It All Began

Cumberland Trim, Doors & Design began producing and marketing interior millwork products in October of 1994 with the simple business philosophy of providing quality products and service to builders, contractors and homeowners at an affordable price. We felt that if we treated people fairly, provided excellent product and service while keeping our prices reasonable, we could be a valuable resource to consumers in the construction and remodeling industry. Thanks to this business plan and our faithful and loyal customer base, we have been blessed to see our business develop from its initial, humble beginnings to a manufacturing and distribution facility that includes over 135,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and warehouse space situated on 40 acres near the shores of beautiful Lake Cumberland.

Service Area

With our growth, our service area has increased as well. Our current service areas include various locations in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama and Georgia. With warehouse locations in these various areas, service from our door to yours is complemented by our staff of sales representatives and warehouse personnel to make sure your product is there when you need it.

Facilities

Within our facilities, we have the capability of producing various types of moldings, interior doors, stair parts and custom millwork. For starters, our location in south central Kentucky places us in the heart of the Appalachian hardwood market with numerous lumber mills and yards nearby for a convenient supply of high grade raw material. Our on-site dry kilns allow us to precisely dry our raw materials (a very important process) prior to production. From that point, our manufacturing processes begin to produce for our customers some of the finest quality stock and special order interior millwork that can be found in the market today, all under one roof, and under the watchful eyes of our skilled and dedicated employees.

Products and Trends

Over the years, trends have changed and new products have been introduced. Cumberland continues to be on the forefront when it comes to providing these types of product. While not produced within our facility, we work daily with competent, reliable vendors for additional product lines such as molded fiber doors, primed pine moldings, primed MDF moldings, iron stair system components and interior hardware, just to mention a few.
